This post will be brief as I’m multitasking: blogging whilst acting as a bouncy castle. Tricky.
We’ve just been looking through some pictures in My first word book: numbers shapes and opposites, published by North Parade. I think it was a birthday gift. Hers, not mine.
Anyway, looking at the shapes page ( Where’s the square? What colour is it? etc etc), half-expecting her to callout “look, I know my shapes, colours and numbers, can we stop now and just play?” any day now, we had a special moment.
Monkey-face pointed out the orange oval. “Wheresda soap?” she mimicked. “DERE’s da soap. It’s mummy’s soap.”
