When the child could be prised from her bed, she started to say
“please can I watch…”
Then paused. Thought. Changed her mind to “please can I read a story?”
When asked what she’d like she responded: “CRAZY HAIR!!!!!!!”
A little bargaining later, Neil Gaiman helped get her dressed, hair brushed, on the potty (with a result) and breakfasted. Mostly concurrently.
The power of a book!
